Structural Draftsman

About the Role

We are seeking Structural Draftsmen to join our design engineering team in Bengaluru. You will translate structural design mark-ups and calculations from senior engineers into precise, construction-ready drawings for both industrial/EPC projects and building design work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare structural drawings (GA, foundation, framing, reinforcement/rebar detailing, steel fabrication drawings) from engineer's design mark-ups and calculations
• Develop RCC detailing — footing, column, beam, slab schedules and bar bending schedules (BBS)
• Prepare steel structure drawings — fabrication and erection drawings, connection details, pipe rack and platform drawings
• Coordinate with structural engineers to incorporate design revisions and mark-up corrections
• Cross-check drawings against structural calculations and architectural/MEP drawings for coordination and clash checks
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and issue drawings per project numbering standards
• Respond to site queries and RFIs requiring drawing clarifications or as-built updates
• Support quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation from drawings where required

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/ITI in Civil Engineering (Draftsman/Detailing specialization) or BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with demonstrated hands-on structural drafting experience
• 2–6 years of experience in structural drafting/detailing (building and/or industrial projects)
• Strong proficiency in CAD (2D detailing) — mandatory
• Understanding of RCC and structural steel detailing conventions and IS code drawing standards
• Ability to read and interpret structural calculation outputs from STAAD.Pro/ETABS and translate them into drawings
• Attention to detail and ability to work to tight revision timelines
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru — full-time, in-office role

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Revit/BIM
• Experience in industrial structures — pipe racks, equipment foundations, PEB/steel sheds
• Familiarity with international detailing standards (Eurocode/ACI-based projects)
• Prior experience working directly under a senior structural engineer in a consulting setup
